Stray animals face endless hardships daily, struggling to locate food and water while also trying to stay safe from natural elements. To make matters worse, there are some people who view these animals as pests and may intentionally cause them harm. Unfortunately, many countries lack animal cruelty laws to prevent such acts.
Recently, a helpless puppy named Leona was subjected to a vicious attack by a man under the influence of drugs. The young pup had done nothing wrong, yet she was struck repeatedly and left with life-threatening injuries.
Found lying on the sidewalk, Leona was in a sorry state.
She had damaged legs, balance problems, and infected ears, rendering her immobile and in excruciating pain. Luckily, a kind-hearted individual rescued her and took her to a veterinary hospital where a doctor immediately administered IV pain medication. Leona shed actual tears, showing the extent of her agony.
Thankfully, the puppy’s surgery was a success, and though she is still in recovery, she is healing quickly with the help of a compassionate caregiver who is determined to find her a forever home.
