Every day, stray animals struggle to find food and water, and also face the challenge of staying safe from harsh weather conditions. Unfortunately, many people do not consider these animals to be valuable and often harm them. It is disheartening that some countries still do not have laws against animal cruelty.
In one such incident, a puppy named Leona was severely injured by a man who was high on drugs.
When Leona was found, she was lying helpless on the sidewalk, with infected ears, balance issues, and badly injured legs.
Her condition was so severe that she couldn’t even stand up on her own. Fortunately, someone came to her rescue and took her to a vet, where she was told that she needed surgery in order to survive. The poor puppy was also in a lot of pain, and the doctor immediately gave her pain medication. Leona was in so much pain that she cried, and tears were visible in her eyes.
Thankfully, Leona’s surgery was successful, and she is now on the road to recovery.
Although it will take time for her to heal completely, she is making good progress. Her loving caregiver is doing everything possible to find a perfect home for her. Let us all pray for Leona, as she needs and deserves our prayers. It is heartbreaking to see innocent animals suffer, but with love and care, they can heal and find happiness again.
