Thor, a golden brown dog in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was discovered impaled with hundreds of yellow quills on his snout, forehead, nose, ears, and legs, according to photos taken by his owner, Adriano Bertoline.
Due to his inability to pay the veterinary bill, Adriano began an online treatment campaign, seeking assistance for his injured dog.
Fortunately, Dr. Jose Roberto Apolari, a councilman, came to Thor’s rescue, transporting him to a clinic and covering some of the medical expenses.
This was the second time in a year that Thor had fought with a porcupine, resulting in severe wounds. Despite financial difficulties, Adriano’s love for his dog never wavered, as he continued to search for ways to heal him. With the councilman’s help, Thor received the medical attention he required and returned home safe and sound.
It’s unclear what happened to the porcupine after the encounter.
