Chewie, a Yorkshire Terrier, was discarded like garbage in a Santa Ana park in Orange County, California. Despite both of his front legs being completely fractured, the tiny dog put on a brave face and grinned at strangers, hoping someone would assist him. After enduring several days of agony, the staff at OC Animal Care rescued him.
At the veterinary hospital, an X-ray revealed that Chewie’s twisted broken legs had begun to heal, implying that the poor pup had been injured for weeks without being taken to a vet. It’s very likely that his owner was the one who caused Chewie’s injuries and then abandoned him.
The vet conducted a difficult surgery to repair Chewie’s legs. Although his rehabilitation was unquestionably difficult, the fragile pup proved to be a trooper! He placed his complete faith in his devoted caregivers, and the following week, he was happily bounding about in the grass despite still wearing a cast!
Chewie was adopted shortly after making a complete recovery! His new mother, Cheryl, is smitten with this little guy, and his human and dog siblings are also enamored with him. Well done, Chewie! With his innocent grins and bright spirit, Chewie has unquestionably captured our hearts!
